  1. Dark wind howls like wolves in the night...

Light winds flutter like bouncing brown butterflies...

Gail winds crraaaasssssshhhhhhhhh like Ocean Waves against the pier...

Stormy winds raveee like a mad scientist...

Calm winds clinkle like the front porch chimes...

Tornadic winds bellow like a train engineer...

Hurricane winds rumble like the belly of the Jolly Green Giant....

    Good Luck...

  2. The wind does not make noise.  Sounds are made when the wind interacts with an object or its' own volume.  As in whistleing wind, russeling leaves, swaying treetops, bellowing cries thru the canyons,

or gentle caresses of morning mist on your cheeks.

  3. whistles

    blows

    rustles

    whips

    howls

  4. You have to use metaphor; if it is a mild or slow wind  you might use "as soft as a whisper." BUT, most importantly, what do you fel the wind is saying to you in the context of the poem. Good luck....
