  1. just talk to them about the 8 week old kid , and how they bothered you with the 3 o'clock party ... talk to them nicely and hopefully they'll understand ...

and if they don't and it happens again you can call the cops, they'll shut them up .

  2. Go and have a word with them they are being completely inconsiderate to you and your baby. Good Luck.

  3. I agree with Donya. Most police departments have lots to handle, so disturbing the peace probably should be handled as peacefully between your daugther and the neighbors if possible.

I would suggest that if she knows them somewhat that she should simply go and ask them to be sure that their noise levels are appropriate for the time of day.

If she does not know them very well,  she could write a letter.

    "Dear Neighbours,

I am sorry to be writing you this letter under these conditions. Early this morning, at three a.m., the noise levels from your guests was enough to wake our sleeping baby. In efforts to be understanding to your friends and your property, we are writing this letter in request that if you decide to have more events such as last night that you would require your guests and noise levels to be appropriate for the time of day.

I do not mean for this to be a personal attack by any means. In fact, I am doing this in the spirit of being neighborly. I hope that we can kindly and respectfully come to an agreement on these types of issues.

If you have any need to contact me, I can be reached at this phone number.

    Respectfully yours,

    xxxxxx"

If, after you daughter has approched them, this happens again, then I would involve the landlord (if an apartment situation) or the police. She needs to walk gingerly because, like it or not, she must live by these people for the time being.

My in laws, as much as I love them, complain about their neighbor being a control freak because he requested that they do not park vehicles to block their shared drive. I feel that is a completely reasonable request, but they always mention how controling he is because of this.... I mention this because it seems like not matter how obvious it is to the outsider looking in, no one like to be told they did something rude and inconsiderate. So hopefully, she can handle this in a way that does not make the neighbors angry, because some people will retaliate and be all the louder next time. Trust me, my college dorm was this way. :(

  4. I would call the police when they are having the party so that the police can hear the noise at 3 in the morning.

  5. I would call the police, most neighborhoods have rules about this sort of thing. If your daughter is worried that they will know its her, call on her behalf.

  6. go talk to them.

also you can call the police, they can handle those types of things

  7. call the cops

  8. Check with your local government officials to see if your area has any noise ordinances on the books.  If the neighbors are in violation of the local laws your daughter can report them.

  9. Check the local noise bi-laws. Most places expect quiet after eleven or twelve midnight.  Unless this happens all the time ,it might be a good idea to forget about it. We can't always be reporting our neighbours for infractions of rules.  If it were me. I would politely ask them to let me know the next time they have a party and then make alternate accomodations for that night. Maybe they could stay with you overnight.
