Question:

Noisy GE Profile Quiet Power 3 Dishwasher

I saw where Coach posed a similar question back in March about a noisy dishwasher and just wanted to know if the problem was fixed with a visit from a technician as suggested by the answer. My dishwasher is making a rattling noise even without dishes and is less than six months old. It replaced another GE dishwasher that was under 2 years old which we thought was a lemon but now are wondering if we should not have gone with another GE product. Help!

  1. We've had nothing but problems with our GE appliances & I just heard recently they are pulling out of the home appliance market (geee - I wonder whyyyyy)  and won't be making them any longer.  Get a repairman out there since it's under warranty, and you may want to consider buying an extended warranty for it because more than likely it will be money well spent.

  2. First I would stop using the dishwasherer till a tech looks at it. Your problem could be a bone or other object inside the pump. depending on the object this could be bad for your machine to run it in this condition. It may be a bad pump. It may also be some thing hard like a bone in the grinder (GE has a disposal like device in your dishwasher) if it is this might clear on its own but it not worth the potential damage if it is something else call GE at 800-626-2000 this is a menu driven phone thing follow the direction to sechedule a service.

  3. I agree with you GE appliances stink I have fixed appliances for 25 years, Kitchen Aid much better!
