Question:

Noisy motorcyclists; why don't police arrest them?

Why the extreme noise, I don't know. Their stupid 'Loud pipes saves lives' mantra is a joke since the noise of their exhaust is directed behind them. No one in front of them hears anything. The only ones who hear them are people who are driving behind them and already see them and the poor saps who happen to live within 5 miles of the road that these apes travel. That's how loud their bikes are! I drive with my eyes open and do not run into bikes, whether they be peddle or motor driven. These morons have ruined many peoples vacations with their loud noise. They lower the quality of life for good law abiding people. And yet, our police do nothing. Why is that?

  1. Actually they do give them tickets i saw a state trooper giving 3 motorcyclist tickets at the same time. He made them park the bikes and find another way to there destination.

Off the top of my head its illegal to remove the OEM mufflers epa regulations on pollution.

Another one I can think of is noise ordinance disturbing the peace.

All really depends on if the officer feels like enforcing it, it seems but the funny thing is they pull over ricer boys with there coffee can mufflers and its not as loud as a bike with straight pipes!

  2. Because it's unreasonable for them to arrest people who annoy you.

  3. Many of them are loud on purpose just to make people mad and to provoke a reaction.  You know, how some people wear T-shirts that loudly proclaim "F*** YOU" - just like that.  Their ridiculously noisy motorcycles is their way of saying "F--- YOU"

  4. What are the police going to do, make them pay a fine to destroy their bikes and buy new ones? Geez, maybe all they can afford is a old, loud bike. Maybe you should look at all perspectives instead of b!tching about things that are not always true and can't be avoided.

  5. no law against noise yet, but I do agree with you.

  6. Loud pipes can be heard in front and behind and all around.  I'm glad that you drive looking for bikes but many people don't think about them until they've have a near miss or thought that a bike has "come out of nowhere".  Ridiculously loud pipes for show are just for tossers but please think about how unprotected riders are just by being on a bike let alone having people not know that they are on the road too and that they have as much right as other registered road users.
