Question:

Noisy new LCD Monitor?

I just hooked up a new 19" LCD monitor and it has a very noticible electronic type hum. The hum isn't related to the speakers and only hums when the monitor is receiving a video signal.

Is this normal? This is my 1st LCD monitor and I don't want to send it back if this type of noise is normal.

  1. it is not normal of course if you can enjoy the sound with that much hum or if it is insignificant then leave it otherwise get it replaced


  2. No this is not normal (LCD's are silent). You should definitely send it back for a new one.
