Nokia 6101 help! my cellphone automatically enters "3"?

last night my phone was okay. when i woke up. probably i forgot to lock it. i saw my screen was full of "3". it's the screen where you dial numbers. i can't turn it off so i removed the battery then inserted it again. as i turned it on, as usual it asks for the time. i was about to enter the time but the keypad seems like its not responding hence it automatically enters number 3. other keys wont respond.

what could be the problem with my phone? how can i fix it?

either a short circut, or the button is jammed. if u reciently got the phone, call up ur service provider and theyll send u a new one for free :D
