Nokia E66 with slider problem: what will they do?

I have a new Nokia E66 that has a slider problem. Already had a question about that on Y!A. But after I looked on the discussions page at Nokia at http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/discussions/board/message?board.id=communicators&message.id=24975&query.id=20196#M24975

I noticed it was a very common problem with this model. Anybody know what the manufacturer would normally handle such a malfunction of this magnitude?
