I am thinking about buy this phone, but am concerned about the Satnav. I know it is all built in, free, and works on the road or on foot, but do you have to have to be in a internet hotspot for it to work. if you dont understand what i mean, would it still work if i was in a place where was not very good reception, like the countryside?

  1. The maps can be downloaded offline so the application need only the GPS signal which is easier to acquire in the countryside. So, it works and while it is better to have internet connection available all the time to receive map updates the connection is not mandatory.

Please also note that while positioning an mapping is free you will have to pay a license for the turn-by-turn navigation and routing features.
