The Lille striker is not worried about Les Dogues’ bad run of form and believes that the 2010/2011 champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 will soon hit top gear
Les Dogues have been unconvincing this season and are currently 12th in the league, with just a single win.
With just 7 points on the table, things aren’t looking good for Rudi Garcia’s side as they are already 11 points behind league leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127.
However, one player who isn’t that worried about the situation is Nolan Roux. The 24-year-old striker is optimistic about his side’s chances this season and believes that the Ligue 1 outfit will turn things around.
Lille played relatively better in their previous league game against Lyon last week, drawing the game 1-1 in the end. And Roux feels that his side played with great attitude against Les Gones, and this could prove to be a turning point in LOSC’s season.
Referring to Lille’s humiliating defeat against BATE Borisov in the Champions League; the Frenchman said that they needed to play well after that game, and players responded well.
Emphasizing the importance of playing aggressively, the 24-year-old said that Lille need to play more attacking football, and at the same time, they need to work on their defence.
“We were happy with the way we played. We responded well after the match against BATE Borisov; we needed to play our attacking football and defend well.”
Roux added that Lille need to get back to winning ways before it’s too late.
“We know we can score goals. But it wasn't really a relief; you're only really happy when you win. We played well, but there is still a lot of work to do."
Praising the senior players in the team, the striker said that players are optimistic and there is a belief that Lille can win something this season.
"The senior players aren't worried, I’m not seeing the lads mouthing off and looking discouraged. On the contrary, I'm seeing guys who want things to change, who want to start winning and that's what we're working for.”
LOSC Lille face Stade Rennais in their next Ligue 1 game.
