The 30-year-old midfielder has expressed determination ahead of his side’s upcoming English Premier League game against Martin O’Neil’s men, and has insisted that the Hammers will try to put in another solid performance on the pitch.
West Ham United midfielder and captain, Kevin Nolan, has expressed confidence ahead of his side’s upcoming Premier League game against Sunderland. The two sides will meet at Stadium of Light on Saturday, January 12.
The Hammers are heading into the game on the back of a disappointing 2-2 draw in a FA Cup third round clash against Manchester United at the Boleyn Ground on January 5. The hosts were close to claiming a victory, but a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 strike in the injury
time ensured that the Red Devils remain in contention for a spot in the fourth round.
Nonetheless, the impressive performance against the mighty United has made all the Iron players optimistic about getting good results in the remaining games of the season.
Speaking to reporters ahead of his side’s game against the Black Cats, the former Newcastle United midfielder revealed that everyone is brimming with confidence to claim a good result at Stadium of Light on Saturday.
“We're looking forward to playing Sunderland. It will be a tough match. It is never an easy game for anyone at the Stadium of Light, but we are delighted with how we have started the year. That included the win over Norwich on New Year's Day and then against
Manchester United on Saturday, when we were not far away from winning.”
The talented midfield maestro went on to heap praise on one of the Hammers academy products, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Potts, who returned to the Boleyn Ground this year after a six-month loan spell at Colchester United.
“Pottsy had gone out to Colchester on loan to give him a bit more experience and he did well. He came back, came straight into the team and was great. He is a fantastic lad to have around, on and off the pitch. He's a real credit to the club”, Nolan concluded.
The 30-year-old, who has thus far represented West Ham in over 50 league games, would be hoping that his side continues to perform brightly, and claim consistent results until the end of the ongoing campaign to finish in the top-half of the table.
