Noliko MAASEIK up for the final fight for national league title – Volleyball news
Noliko MAASEIK of Belgium is set to take on national rival Euphony ASSE-LENNIK on Saturday, April 21 for national crown.
The two teams will clash in the third and last match of the final round of Belgium Men’s National Volleyball League, while he Lotto Dome sports hall in Maaseik City will set up the field of play for final flight of crucial round.
The host Noliko Maaseik had an excellent start in the Final Playoffs, which kicked off this past Saturday. Equipped with the stupendous support of local fans, Noliko overpowered Euphony. The visiting team gave a really good competition to Noliko Maaseik
and remained incredibly close on the scoreboard but could not avoid the defeat. The match covered its length in five flights and finally Noliko stamped 3:2 (27-25, 27-29, 20-25, 25-18, and 15-8) victory over Euphony.
In the next run, the Maaseik squad travelled to Asse-Lennik to play the second match of final round. The “Molenbos” sports centre in ASSE-LENNIK hosted the match, where large number of Euphony fans came to support the local team. Nonetheless, visiting Noliko
Maaseik did not show any sign of intimidation and pulled off success in the match, which ended up with the final score of 3-2 (25-20, 20-25, 25-19, 22-25, and 11-15).
Noliko is now only one step far from winning the national title. The team is totally shaped up to give a hard-knock to the Euphony in the final match.
Wing spiker of Noliko Maaseik, Kevin Klinkenberg, expressed his views about the upcoming thriller. He stated, “We have to remain a 100% focused as ASSE-LENNIK has nothing to lose and I expect a very nervous game. Our sports hall, the Lotto Dôme, will be
sold-out and I hope we will be able to take the trophy in front of our great fans.”
Previously, Noliko Maaseik finished as the top team of men’s division 1 at the national league for fourteen times. Hence, this is going to be 15th national crown for Noliko Maaseiik this year. The team has great prospects to win the final match and seize
