Question:

Non-Alcoholic night out?

Hey i'm a student so going out happens a lot with me lol

I'm trying to loose a few lbs and have decided to cut down on my alcohol intake after a pretty heavy binge the other day. I'm worried it'll do me harm in the long run.

I LOVE diet coke, but unfortunatly I drink too much of it- and it's supposed to be very unhealthy.

Could any body suggest what I could drink on a night out that is healthy for me and hopefully quite low in calories?

  1. afraid h2o is the best but why go out you only live once sod the health gurus eat a carrot and a pulse or steak with red wine sorry no contest live for today for gods sake you are a student worry about your liver when you are 30


  2. I don't drink but when I go to a pub or a club I drink alcohol free beer. Believe it or not it's better than water and tastes nice. I certainly couldn't drink coke or that yuk they call orange juice.

  3. Apart from water there arent many things to be honest. Diet coke is good because it is low in calories but it is full of alot of other rubbish and chemicals to replace the sugar. J2O's are good because they dont have as much rubbish in them and taste good but they have quite alot of sugar in them so they wouldnt be very good for losing weight. Fruit juice would probably be best as it is the most natural and tastes the best but can still build up a few calories over the course of a night out so in moderation is best

  4. I drink soda water with a slice of lime or lemon

  5. Order a Virgin Mary (also known as a Bloody Shame).  You'll LOOK like you're drinking a Bloody Mary, but the spicy tomato juice is very low in calories, and very healthy for you.  You'll even get a celery stick to chew on!

  6. Hiya, you could try drinking tonic water with some cordial (like blackcurrant) in it, if you don't like the taste. Iced tea & ginger beer are quite healthy & not too sugarry if they have them. There's always juices too, and you can mix them. Pineapple and orange or pineapple and lemonade is nice and usually not too sweet (and therefore not too calorific!)

  7. Well i know this aint healthy BUT

    A shot of vodka only has around 40 cals

    Have it with sum diet coke and its only 40 cals a drink

  8. cranberry juice!! everyone i know drinks it when they're not drinking alcohol. its healthy as well! i dunno why people drink it tho...its just popular! or J20? they're apparently good to drink when your out at night cos its really refreshing.
