Question:

Non-Conviction and Employment 17 -- MDOP [Felony]? NON VIOLENT?

Hello.

I am 18.

And I was part of a lame high school Senior Prank.

The damages were enough for it to be a felony.

I am in Michigan. I was giving HYTA, and it's not a non-convection for MDOP. Miraculous Destruction of Property.

I am going to Major in Physics, and I would like to get a job perhaps something financial related as I will Minor in something business related.

How will this affect employment for me? I have never done anything else and will never do anything like this again.

I don't do things like this often, I run my own business for extra income, so I don't want this to affect anything.

Again, I WAS NOT CONVICTED OF THE FELONY MDOP. It was non-violent. I got it when I was 17. And I can say I was never charged with a felony on job applications because of this.

  1. I'm assuming that you mean Malicious Destruction of Property instead of Miraculous.  At any rate, if you were not convicted, you have nothing to worry about.  Employers are not privy to what you may or may not have been accused of in the past.  They are only privy to what you have been convicted of.

  2. No conviction no record.

  3. If you can major in Physics and minor in economics, you will probably be making more money than the cops in a few years. You could probably do the same thing again and it still wouldn't make any difference.
