I'd like to paint the inside of boxes and put scotch mints in them but i'm having trouble finding a food safe paint. I know i could wrap the mints in plastic wrap or some other material to protect them from coming in contact with the painted surface but i'd like to cut down on packaging. Does anyone know of a paint that could help me out?

  1. Acrylic is supposed to be inert once it is dry.  I would use a spray paint if you could find one that is non-toxic once dry.  Or I would line the boxes with a nice paper.

  2. enamal would be your best bet, it is totally non-toxic is used on cribs etc where babies might chew the bars so is definetly going to be food safe. hope this helps, oh and it is also very durable
