I sent out a message in a bottle for my save the dates and now I think sending a traditional wedding invitation will seem boring. Any ideas for a creative way to invite my guests to the wedding while still keeping a traditional feel?

  2. You can send out boxed invitations! I own an invitations business and specialize in custom and unique invitations. I'd be glad to work with you to create your non-traditional invites.

  3. Non-traditional invitation certainly ARE exciting. When I receive them I'm often left with the impression that I've been invited to a housewarming, a 'moving in together party', a baby shower or christening (beginning of a new life), or even an orgy!

Perhaps I'm old fashioned but I prefer clarity to excitement, formality to unrestrained personal expression.

  4. Make your own invitations. Use bright, non-traditional colors. I would even make the wording a little less traditional. Maybe something humorous...

  5. I was in the same predicament.  My wedding was in June and because I'm a computer geek and wanted to be eco-friendly, I put together these virtual invitations.  They have tradition, but are paperless.  I have about 20 guests who needed paper invitations, so I took the same design and only printed those.  After creating a set for a friend, I decided to offer it to other brides.

Click the envelope in the upper right corner.

    Enjoy!

  6. I went to a bridal fair, and I saw these invitations that were puzzles. The recipients put the puzzle pieces together to read the message. I searched some websites and here are some ideas:
