Hello.

I am going to be Majoring in [Physics] and Minoring in [Economics]. I was part of a high school prank my Senior year. I was 17, I was tried as an adult, I plead no content and was found not convinced.

I paid back my damages to the school and I have never done anything else before. I do feel I am not a criminal, and I do feel I am highly educated.

It's not like I raped someone, killed someone, or beat someone. This was just a high school farcé that was several hundred dollars in cost and it was in Felony Range.

Will this prevent me from getting any jobs, if so - what ones?

I looked into Expungment but it's for people who are convicted of the crime.

It's not like this was a severe crime, I payed back damages, I don't feel this would effect really any job. It's not like I would do the same thing at my place of employment.

## The Damages were to a school fiber optics line and severs and telecommunications network.. So I know my way around with sever networks. Hah.

Thanks

  1. No this won't prevent you from getting jobs because you were a minor and once you reach 18 those records are sealed, so you wouldn't need to list them on a application unless you felt you had some moral obligation to do so.

If you have some moral obligation to divulge this information why not commit to community service? It will look great on applications, resumes, and it may mitigate some of the guilt, plus you'll feel good about helping the community. I mean anything you can do to improve your future chances of getting a great job and education, why not go for it. Good luck I hope you get into your desired field and you can improve this world.

P.S. We all make mistakes, what we learned from them is what really matters.

  2. Uhm... why you gotta ask the same question seven times?
