You will need the help of an independent insurance agent. Check your local yellow pages to find an agent. You probably will need to make more than one call because not all agents deal with what is termed non-standard or surplus lines insurance.

It is relatively straight forward to get this kind of cover once, as others have stated, you find the right sort of agent/broker.

One thing to bear in mind though is that you have to be talking about a big enough sum of money for it to be worth any insurers while.  Also bear in mind there will almost certainly be some kind of deductible/excess.

If you are looking for cover for only a few thousand, you may struggle to find anything at a price you want to pay.

If this is the case you may be better off seeing if you can get a 'general liability' type policy (similar to that sold for weddings, which includes 'no-show by the band' cover) which will cover you against all sorts of things.

If you are in the UK try giving the British Insurance Brokers Association a call they will give you some names of people who specialise in that kind of thing. This will also include Lloyds brokers as has been (very well) suggested elsewhere.

If you're in the US try some of the bigger brokers, as it is reasonably specialised (as again well said elsewhere) your states Surplus Lines Association may be able to recommend some.

Surplus lines is mainly a US thing where you have to go 'overseas'  or out of state because you can't get the cover locally. It doesn't happen in the UK, since if you can't insure it in London.... you can't insure it anywhere.
