Question:

Non-prescription color contacts?

I want to dress up as Rosalie Cullen (from the Twilight series) and I need gold contacts (my eyes are naturally blue) that are non-prescription because I cant go to my eye doctor now. I don't think it will hurt my eyes since I'm only wearing them once (I would prefer disposable). Where can I get some that aren't too expensive and look pretty without a prescription?

  1. You usually have to buy those online because the FDA or whatever organization allows the sale of contact lenses doesn't allow the sale of contacts to people who don't need them for improved vision.

It's not advisable that you do this. Cosmetic contacts aren't well made, they may not fit your eyes, and you don't know what procedures you may need to take to use them and avoid an infection. They aren't regulated or inspected by anyone, so you don't know if they are even safe..

On top of that, the gold won't show up on your eyes. Just like any shade of blue won't appear or will appear faded on a person with brown eyes, the color of brown and gold color contacts will look very different because your eyes are blue.

Your eye doctor won't prescribe them if you don't need them, and most manufacturers don't make gold contacts.

  2. there are places you can buy them but to go to the doc would be better
