Non profit employer and overtime?

Can a non profit corporation make a paid employee work overtime and call it donating the time so they can avoid paying overtime.

  1. No, and look at http://www.dol.gov/opa/media/press/esa/E... to see what can happen to non-profits who do not pay required overtime.  However, note that many non-profits are exempt from overtime laws.
