  1. Please register your complaint in writing to the post master, along with a copy to the " Post Master General ". Get the acknowledgement on another copy for your file.

If the matter and the content is very important and if you have incurred any damage, due to non delivery of the registered post, it is better to complain to the " Consumer  forum " of the jurisdiction.

  2. Yes. I will look into your letter box/

  3. The most effective way to get a proper response from the Post Office is to submit your application u/Sec.6(1) Right to Information Act, 2005, demanding the relevant information about the fate of the regd. letters & AD.

However, from my own experience, even a simple letter asking for details of delivery and receipt, will get you a printout from the PO's status report for the letters, but you will have to keep reminding them.  With the RTI appln, the PO is obliged to reply within 30 days without you wasting more time in reminders.

  4. Government of India has an on-line Grievance forum at

    >

    >The government wants people to use this tool to highlight the problems  they faced while dealing with Government officials or departments like  Passport Office, Electricity board, BSNL/MTNL, Railways etc etc.

    >

    >So use this grievance forum and educate others who don't know about this facility.

    > This way we can at least raise our concerns instead of just talking about  the ' System' in India. Invite your friends to contribute for many such happenings.
