  1. You can check orbits or any number of travel sites for that route but I have to say when I lived in Fort Lauderdale, (Im a shoe designer and go to China all the time for work) I always had to switch planes to get to S. Chine from there.  Usually I was on a Ft Lauderdale or Miami to San Fransisco to HongKong then to Fuzhou or GZ flight or I took a Miami to LA to Narita (tokyo) to GZ, or once I went from Miami to Newark to Beijing route.

Now I am in Seattle and one would expect it to be easier but I still have to go through Vancouver or Tokyo or Taipei (Taiwan) before getting to HK or one of the mainland China cities.

Good luck w that.  My advice is to get them a lot of layover time so they have time to find where they need to go and have them just ask people at the gate.

The North pole route through Beijing then Newark might be best even though nI hate Newark just because flying from the West coast to Miami usually requires an additional stop in Atlanta or Houston and the via Newark route will at least only be one English only speaking Airport to navigate.  Im only guessing they are native Chinese but if Im right then it willbe easier to get through Beijing then one extra US place than it will to go through 2 or 3 more foreign airports before getting to FL.

Good luck.  Its a bear of a trip no matter how you do it.  I am flying on July 11th again and will be doing Seattle to Taipei to HK then taking a ferry to Panyu (a suburb city of Guangzhou).  About 24 hours travel time including layovers and the two hour ferry.

  2. There are no flights that go from China directly into Florida.  Could you possibly fly out to Los Angeles or San Francisco to meet them and then fly together into Florida?  I think Air China still operates a flight into New York.  Maybe you can fly to JFK and meet them there and fly down to Florida together.  I know it sounds like a lot but they are your parents and if you are afraid that they will get lost, this would be one of the safest things to do.

The next best thing is to ask if a flight attendant or someone can escort them to their connecting flight.  However the thing is that the escort will have to wait as they go through customs.

  3. go to yahoo travel .. you can see direct flights there in different key cities in china..
