A few days ago I wanted to listen to music, so I opened up iTunes and tried to play a song, but nothing happens, its just at 0:00, so I tried to play a different song, and the same thing happened, so I tried another one and it turns out to be that not one song will play, all just stays at 0:00. So I tried to play them with Windows Media Player and I get "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. For additional assistance, click Web Help." I tried to see if any of my videos were working, but they started playing and I got the same message again and the video stopped playing. So I tried to play them on VLC Media Player, it's playing but no sound is coming out! My sound is on, there is sound when I play YouTube videos. I run a Windows Vista Home Premium and my sound is up to date. I've even tried system restore and nothing happens. I don't know what to do, can someone help?

  1. Is it possible that your music files/videos were perhaps deleted by accident? If so, then that's your problem. You should check to see if your files are not damaged or deleted.

Try going to the actual file containing your music and try opening it from there. If it still doesn't work, you may need to delete and redo your entire music collection on your computer.
