The status bar shows "javascript:void(null);" I've tried this in the latest versions of both Firefox and IE. I use Windows XP. The "Add Content," "Change Appearance," and "More Options" buttons also do nothing when you click on them.

  1. I had two computers with the same problem.  On my AMD machine with IE7, the problem went away when I uninstalled Spybot and deleted all the entries in my "hosts" file which Spybot had made.  On my Intel machine with IE7 and FIrefox 2.0, this was unsuccessful.  I suspect Spybot modified the registry on this machine, and I'm not competent to edit the registry.  If you have Spybot or comparable, you might try what I did.  (If you edit the "hosts" file, you'll need to change its attributes from "read only" so Notepad can edit it.  It's in the System32\Drivers\etc directory.  Be sure to save it without the ".txt" extension.)   I've switched to iGoogle on the intel machine.  Good luck.  In all, a very frustrating experience.

Addendum to earlier answer:  The problem appears to be in my Security Suite, Zone Alarm.  Once I reset the "privacy" ad blocking option to allow "animation," full functionality was restored to My Yahoo in IE7 and Firefox 2.0.  If you have anti-adware functionality in your anti-virus software or a separate ad-blocker, you might reconfigure it and see what happens.  For now, I'll rely on my browers' ad-blocker function.  Good luck.
