Nonito Donaire, Julio Cesar Chavez headline World Championship Boxing show on February 4–Boxing News
The knock out puncher of the year 2011, Nonito Donaire has got lot of confidence from just two fights. In one, he knocked the senses out of Fernando Montiel, whereas in the other, he gave Omar Andres Narvaez the lesson of his life, who was dreaming to take
the gold away from Nonito.
According to the recent tidings making its way in the media, on February 4, 2012, an extravaganza will be arranged at Alamo Dome in San Antonio where two fights will take place. Both these bouts will be televised on HBO in a show called World Championship
Boxing.
The second fight also involves a young athletic and charismatic boxer whose energy and motivation has taken him up on the top. Julio Cesar Chavez Junior will also be involved in a fight on the same day in the same show against Marco Antonio Rubio of Mexico.
Donaire will fight in order to step in the super Bantamweight category.
Donaire, after winning and for one time successfully retaining and defending the WBC & WBO bantamweight title, decided to forfeit both in order to exceed himself in the higher weight category.
Nonito was bound to fight Toshiaki Nishioka initially, but afterwards, it was decided that the competitor should be changed since Nishioka needed rest.
As per the developments, it was then decided that Nonito will fight Wilfredo Vazquez Junior for the ownership of the vacant WBO Super Bantamweight title.
On the other hand, Chavez will defend the gold around his waist, which he grasped by snapping Germany’s Sebastian Zbik.
This will be the young 25-year-old lad’s second defense of his title.
Both Donaire and Chavez are impressive fighters. They have increased their worth substantially as young rigorous hard working and extremely talented boxers.
Both have excelled in their careers from an inch.
Donaire has lost just one fight and won a total 27, while knocking out 18 opponents senseless.
Chavez is also undoubtedly a threat that can’t be ignored by any sensible boxer. He has got himself into 46 professional fights and has won a total of 44.
Just to present the young boxer's talent, he has out of 44 secured 31 wins by knock out.
To be honest a fight between Donaire and Chavez will be literally an epic to witness.
Alamo Dome will definitely get filled by countless spectators since they will see a double header of two of the most versatile and talented, in what they do best, boxers knock their opponents out.
