Nordic Skiing Preseason?

Ok so i am 14 years old. For the last two years i have ski raced and havent done too badly. But this year i want to have a better fitness base. How often and for how long should i work out. i have been running three days a week, hill bounding for two, and biking for one. what are some other things i can do? i have a couple of friends who have a natural talent for skiing but they dont train and they still beat me.

  1. I am on a mogul team. I would bike three days a week instead of running. and just run once a week. You use the muscles you use biking more than those you use running. I'd go for like 10mi in the beginning then work your way up to 20-25. My coach bikes 5 times a week and she goes 25 mi. I usually go 15. (I'm still get back in a routine) Hill bounding is a good idea too. some people have more natural talent than others, but if you want it bad enough and you have plenty of heart, then eventually, you become Queen of the slopes!
