Normal to run a fever during menstruation?

I do not use tampons, so its not TSS. My temps have been fluctuating since after ovulation and I know that I am not pregnant as I took a test. Is this normal? My temp is staying up around 99 tonight. I think I am going to call my doctor tomorrow.

hey i started my period when i was in the 5th grade i always got sick as a dog every month but about 3 years ago i started getting fever with mines so it mines so i think it my be normal

I know this is normal, although it probally does not feel normal. I get this every month, from the time I ovulate until my period ends. It freaked me out at first too, and then I thought I was pregnant, but I wasn't. Its crazy how womens bodies react during menstruation. My OBGYN also  said its nothing to worry about. But if any other weird symptoms pop up call your doc, cause a low grade fever can be a sign of an infection. Good luck.

You may just have hcg levels that are slow to rise. Also, what test do you use? Some require such a high level of hcg that they don't show positive until your period is a week or more overdue.

How much fluctuation has there been? has it been consistently above your baseline? As long as most (all but 2-3) are above your baseline, fluctuations aren't as relevant. If there's been a consistent upward trend, particularly the last few days, 99 is pretty suggestive.

AF 3 days early and light doesn't preclude being pregnant. Some women continue to have light periods around the time AF would have been expected for the first couple of months of their period. It's not unheard of. In fact the early period is a bit suspicious.

If you're truly not pregnant, and temp of 99 can indicate anything, as long as you're feeling well, it's not something to worry about. If it goes away in the next week, you're likely fine. If not, try another pregnancy test.

yeah that's a low fever but just because your test is negative don't think that your not pregnant. You can i got 3 negatives before i found out i was pregnant. You should just go to the doctor and find out for sure whats causesing this
