Norman, Taylor, Belichick, Thompson are in the field of the Honda Classic
The amazing golfers Greg Norman and Lexi Thompson will be appearing at the Honda Classic, along with the National Football League stars, Bill Belichick and Jason Taylor.
Norman is the Hall of Fame member and will be teeing off on Thursday, at the sensational site of PGA National Champion Course, Palm Beach Gardens in Florida.
Similarly, the tournament is becoming huge, as the appearance of the LPGA star Lexi Thompson, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and Dolphins former sackmaster Jason Taylor has been confirmed.
Kenny G will also be joining the field on Thursday, with the world's famous stars and all-time favourites.
Thompson, a 17-year-old American professional, is excited to play with leading players and stars at one place.
"I've played with Greg before and look forward to playing with him again," Thompson said.
She continued, "It will be fun to meet Coach Belichick, Jason and Kenny G. They're superstars at what they do. I've heard a lot about the pro-am. I'm sure we'll all have a good time".
The field of the Honda Classic is amazing, having all the big names except Luke Donald and Phil Mickelson.
Donald will miss the event due to early exit from Accenture Match Play Championship, whereas Mickelson has played five PGA events, so he also has to miss the Honda Classic.
Hundreds of spectators will also be welcoming the Marlins ace Josh Johnson, kicker of the Arizona Cardinals Jay Feely, NFL Hall of Fame Member Joe Theismann and former Mets slugger Rusty Staub.
The ticket sale has reached its new highs. As last year, the recorded number of spectators on the course was 111,000, but it is highly expected that it will rise above 160,000.
Tiger Woods will also be teeing off on Thursday after 19 years. He played the event while being an amateur, and now he will perform as a pro player.
All the celebrities and sportsman are making the field more impressive and appealing. The increased number of spectators is speaking about the increased interest level in Florida.
"We are again thrilled to be able to present such wonderful celebrity groups for our fans to enjoy on pro-am day," Honda Classic Executive Director Kenneth R. Kennerly said.
The tournament is scheduled to start from March 1 to 4. The competition will offer a purse of $5,700,000. Out of which, the winner will earn $1,026,000 and 500 FedEx Cup points.
