  1. Southampton to Cherburg. I think it still runs.

  2. Ouragon is right.  Normandie is a region about the size of Connecticut, not a city.  It is subdivided into two provinces called haute normandie and bas Normandie.   Le Havre really isn't that interesting a place.  It is a little blue collar town with lots of industry.  If you are a tourist and want to see things in Normandie I would think you'd want to check out Honfleur, St Malo, Omaha beach, The Tapestry of Bayeaux, Mt. St Michel, Rouen, Caen and Givergny.

Also you could do New Haven, UK to Dieppe in Normandie.

  3. You can take a ferry from England right to Le Havre, France, which is in Normandy. Normandy isn't a city, It's a region. This is a colloquially named area. There are also Divisions Administratives (administrative divisions), and the proper name  for the region is Haute-Normandie. Normandie also exits, but Le Havre is in H.N. Have a wonderful visit. Plan on very chilly weather. Shorts will be out of the question, and if you want to blend in, break in some leather walking shoes before you go. White tennis shoes are oh so American!!!
