Nortel phone question?

I am using a Nortel M7310 telephone, and while I know how to transfer a call to someone's extension, I am wondering how to transfer a call directly to someone's voicemail (so they can bypass all the ringing, and just leave a voicemail).

Do you know the number to dial directly into voicemail to leave someone a message? If so you can just hit transfer, the number to voicemail, the voicemail box you want to transfer them to, and then transfer again. At my office the voicemail access number to check messages is 3500. To leave someone a message without actually calling them I dial 3501 and then enter their mailbox number. Hope that helps.
