North American Union by 2010?

Is it really gonna happen and if it does, what will this do to our community as a whole? Merge?

I'm not sure if it's in by 2010 but could be...

You know, i've been studying, A lot and i think the N.W.O is coming.

Politicians have discussed the NWO (New World Order or New Age) as being a positive thing

and bringing about the North American Union is a big step to bringing people together globally but not for our sake. This way the Gov. will have easy control. Think of the internet, the new city of "Babylon" the "world wide" net, the Gov. can already block the easiest way of freedom of speech, the internet, blogging etc... It's not like you can riot or protest world wide in person, so the Gov. can target the internet which you can now hardly live without, really if you want all the "benefits". All i'm trying to say really is it sucks and from 08 to 2012 things are going to change fairly rabidly. For the good cause, i'm not so sure.... /-: By the way i think this would be a good best answer coz i really need more points to vote [no pressure ;-)...]

As a Canadian I would oppose it vehemently. There is no way I would have my nation under the thumb of an american government controlled by the lobbyists and the greedy.

No way. I would protest with vast amounts of insults to the state.

Besides, I don't see that happening anyways. Far too many Canadians think as I do, it would be devastating to our land and we would revolt against such a revolting idea.

i think it's a good idea.  whats the big deal anyway?  invisible border lines.  i have no beef at all with Mexico or Canada. 1 big happy family.  all though lazy Americans would have no one to blame anymore because Mexicans wouldn't be illegal stealing their jobs. LMAO

Nothing is going to change in North American. And certainly not by 2010.North American is getting left behind the rest of the world... like the cities of the Midwest as the economy moved to different regions.

Same old. Same old. Americans and Canadians can't see it.

The rug is being slowly pulled out from under them, Canada only slightly less because its a resource rich nation.

What is going to happen is stagnation and that is not enough to cause the revolutionary political change required to have a Union between Canada and the United States, let alone including Mexico.

So unless there is a really big event like a huge war or we get hit by

an asteroid- NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

If Canada and the USA merged there would be an integration of each culture it would not be detrimental culturally to them. Mexico would require more adjustment but it could be done also.

But the point being it really is not going to happen.

Canada will be under its Queen for another 45 years, despite what the Quebecers think about it.

United States will value its unilingual culture and fight tooth and nail hard against any official billingualism French or Spanish, even if more than 50 percent of its population is bilingual.

Mexico I don't know, but it has views that are its own, different than USA and Canada, about many Western Hemisphere issues.

I don't see a union in 30 years let alone 2 years.

I like the idea of a common currency.

Getting rid of customs would be great.

So would the right to work and live anywhere in NA countries. I am a Canadian and would really like some options that don't involve freezing my @ss off six or more months of the year.

The European Union has its problems but it is a model we could emulate.

It make bring your 'standard of living' (and mine ... I'm in Canada) closer to that of people in Mexico ....

*EVERYBODY* needs to get a clue and try and stop this ...

THIS WILL NOT BENEFIT 'THE PEOPLE' only the people the contributed in large amounts to the politicians

IT's disgusting that there secretly and sometimes in plain view, moving this through without a 'legal right' to give up the rights of sovereign US or Canada to a group of private companies, GO's and NGO's

*THIS* is the biggest threat to are standard of living ... Not the economy ... but the joining of counties with *HIGHLY* desperate wages and standards of living without a method to 'equalize' the differences for the sake of *ALL* countries ...

The 'people with power' just want cheap labor to make money *NOW* even if it bankrupts our countries. Remember they only care about the next 4 or *AT MOST* 8 years ... Presidents have *NO* interest in the long term prospects of *THEIR OWN* country

The 'system' is *TOTALLY* corrupt and needs to be changed. Your Constitution *ALLOWS* you the right to change government, as a whole, when it no longer serves the people !

*FREAKING USE IT* the world depends on it !
