North Carolina Tar Heels draw out a  81-63 win over the Marquette Golden Eagles: NCAA Recap
Tyler Zeller was absolutely outstanding with the ball as he landed 27 points and gathered 15 rebounds to spearhead North Carolina Tar Heels to a comprehensive 81-63 victory over Marquette Golden Eagles at Prudential Center. North
Carolina aggressively took the charge in the first half and thrashed the opposition out of the game. Golden Eagles were restricted to 15 points only, before entering the second half as Carolina scored 40 points to procure a massive lead.
North Carolina coach Roy Williams was extremely pleased with the performance and said after the game.
"I looked up at the clock and it was 10-8 their favor, and the next time I looked at the clock is when I went off at halftime and it was 40-15,". "I knew we were doing very well to say the least."
North Carolina reached the final four for the third time in four years. Harrison Barnes and John Henson provided a substantial support to the star of the night Tyler, as they combined for 34 points to put Carolina on the frontline.
The leading scorer of the night Zeller said, "It means a great deal to all of us. We've been working for this all year and finally put ourselves in a situation and we have to go out and play Sunday."    
Tar Heels utterly dominated the game leaving few options for the Golden Eagles to gain any sort of momentum. Marquette starters entirely collapsed against the top scoring of the opposition except Jimmy Butler who scored 14 points.
Three out of five starting players failed to land any point that was a major reason of their massive defeat.
Davante Gardner came off the bench and clinched a team-high 16 points in just 18 minutes for Marquette. Gardner outstanding performance saved Golden Eagles from a humiliating defeat.
Golden Eagles managed to seal an early advantage 10-8 just before an official timeout. That was the only time of the game when Marquette had some cheering moments. The starters of North Carolina took the charge and never trailed
throughout the game. Tyler came up with a couple of blistering blows just before the end of the first half and guided with a huge 25 points advantage.
Golden Eagles showed some retaliation in the second half however it was almost impossible for them to snatch back the advantage that was pulled up by the opposition comprehensively. Davante was impressive with the ball however
he was unlucky however he was unlucky to be supported by any of his team members later on. Tyler continued to dominate with his brilliance as the Tar Heels cherished an effortless 81-63 win in the end.
