  1. yea, if they want to but they should have something to bring everyone together. Ireland is an Island and it is sad that it's has this separation.

  2. sure but most are thoroughly committed to the UK

  3. well green, I go to college in Derry and the signposts, even the people call it Derry. they wouldnt really know what you were talking about to mention Londonderry.

  4. The counties of Fermanagh, Tyrone, Londonderry and Armagh would more than likely vote for a change to the Republic. All have nationalist majorities.

There's no such place as Derry County by the way. The county used to be named County Coleraine but was changed to County Londonderry. It has never been known as County Derry (officially anyway)..

  5. NOBODY IN THE REPUBLIC IN THEIR RIGHT MINDS WOULD WANT TO BE A PART OF THE UK,(ALAN M)

EVEN IF THEY WERE HIGH, DELERIOUS OR ANY OTHER SORT OF "DISABILTY"!!!!!!!!

I DUNNO WHO YOUR FRIENDS ARE BUT THEY ARE NOT RIGHT IN THE HEAD OR THEY ARE PROBABLY VERY COLSE TO THE BORDER AND THEY ARE OF UNIONIST BACKROUND.

AFTER 800 HUNDRED YEARS OF FIGHTING AGAINST THE BRITS KNOW THAT THEY WOULDNT WANT TO BE PART THE UK

i hav nothing against the uk but i hate people who think just because a few of their friands want it that the rest of the F****** country wants it!!!

  6. Wachiras with five thumbs up hits the nail on the head.! As she says " Most are firmly committed to Uk ". Then its only fair we should ask the south if individually  each counties, they want to join the north in being British ? That might not be ok ! The last referendum in N. Ireland had 87% in favour of being British. That means a huge majority in each county. My many friends in south agree as they desire secretly to be back as part of the Uk. Cheyrl H understands. Lets do it in the south  then. Fairs fair. Try that question next my friend David. I doubt you will. Keep to the facts not your idealistic dreams. The guns of the IRA are over. Dream finished . Give Wachiras the best answer as she has most thumbs up. I doubt you will. !

  7. They let southern Ireland, why not northern Ireland too.

  8. I would say - yes have a referendum - but I sincerely think that as a whole, the counties would all want to stay British. A few town may have a 100% majority but that would be it. As Alan said, in the last referendum 87% wanted to stay British. After all, would they get as much money off the Irish govt as they do the British?

PS You have some pretty old friends - 800 years old lol

  9. What? I live in the republic and I don't know anybody who would want to be part of the UK! It's not that we've a problem with UK or anything, but we're happy to have independance.

It would be lovely to be united with the north but it's their call and if they're happy now then let them be, I'm all for giving them the choice but I think that the choice should include their independence as neither uk or republic, but the choice should be made by all counties together. No point in seperating them more.
