    Open every day 9.30am – 5.30pm.

Signposted off the A487 at Minffordd between Penrhyndeudraeth and Porthmadog.

  4. Conway castle near llandudno is good for kids- my boys are 12 and 9 and we spent a good afternoon there climbing up and down the towers!

  5. Up the mountains  .    Or take kids  to Haven site( Ex Butlins)  on Lley peninsular,  Lots to do there...   The scenery is breathtaking  for adults  but kids not so appreciative,  But there are train rides  ,  slate mines  to visit and explore ,  castles  and  historic sites,   The Italianate village  of the Prisoner  series,,    Isle of Anglesey   ... With a car you can get around a lot more,    .

  6. Hi. N. Wales has loads of things to do. How about taking the mountain railway to the top of mount Snowdon, the views are amazing and you could even walk up if you're feeling (very) energetic. Visit portmerion village where the series the prisoner was filmed. Go to Llangollan and have a horse drawn canal boat trip, and if you're not frightened of heights, you could walk across the Pontycyllte aquaduct which carries the canal 130 ft above the river Dee. You could visit Conwy and go to the castle, Llandudno has loads of things to do from ammusement arcades to dry ski slopes and a scenic drive around the great Orme.

As an added bonus of visiting these places the roads to them pass through the most amazing scenery.

Ever been sea fishing ? Its great fun for all the family and boats go out from Rhyll on short trips most days and you can eat what you catch, and if you catch too much for youselves you can do what we do and sell it on the caravan site.

If you ever wondered how electricity gets to your plug socket, take a trip to "Electric mountain" near Snowdon, it's a hydro electric power station built about a mile inside a mountain, its a good place to visit if the blokes are intersted in engineering.

If you like walking there's loads of country walks, or you can walk the coast paths which are well worth the effort.

If you're interested in bird watching, you could visit south stack at Hollyhead Anglesey which has a massive sea bird colony, including Puffins, and you can visit the light house too.

How about quad biking or pony trekking ? there's a place in the Ceiriog valley which does both, it's great fun.

There's places that do white water rafting, clay pigeon shooting, rock climbing and loads more.

I would suggest you think of something you want to do and do a google search on it, you will find just about anything in north Wales.

Hope this helps & have a great holiday.

  7. Go along the coast to Llandudno, and walk around the Great Orme, go to the amusments on the pier, ride the toboggan run, swim in the sea, walk the promenade and ride the cable car.  It's a family friendly sort of place.

The scenery is a lot better west of Llandudno, and south/inland.  The east is full endless caravans lined up along the shore.

Make the effort to go to Snowdonia and Llangollen for day-trips.

  8. Oakwood park

It's a theme park not too far from where you are staying.

It has good rides for all ages and isn't too expensive.

    Here is the website:
