North melbourne vs. Carlton?

was at thye game yesturday.

the refs were totally unfair to carlton

they kept giving kangaroos frees for nothing and wouldnt call anything for carlton even if they shouldve.

the refs killed us. poo carlton

I am a big time Carlton fan & totally agree the umps had a shocker,

but at the end of the day we were beaten by a better harder team.

I,ve no doubt we are not far off the finals, just not this year.

Personally I think if we're gonna start blaming the umpires for a crappy game, then we didn't deserve to win in the first place. As bad as they may have been, they sure as h**l didn't give the Kangas 51 points worth of free kicks.

I know it sucks to lose, (especially a chance  to be in the finals) but we really should be focusing on the things we CAN control. Like having more than 1 option up forward.

But don't worry. We'll be in the 8 next year.

51 points cant be entirly the refs fault,

carlton just wernt playing at there best yesterday.

theres been plenty of carlton games ive watched where the refs where on carltons side though,

so you have to take the good with the bad.

I do have to admit though, the umpiring was shocking all weekend, in every game! It was very inconsistent.

I don't think you can blame Carlton's loss on the umpires though!

I agree the umpiring was very bad.  However, we lost the game in many other ways.  Stevens had a bad day, and Judd while showing his brilliance was well held.  Our backline still needs work. Fev also needs to work harder.  Sure he kicks well but he needs to take a greater leadership role...not loose his temper and give away frees.  The frees were not fair, but umps look for opportunities to "put him in his place"  that's the problem for being such a big personality.

However, the roos are a quality side and the blues have greatly improved.  2009 we will be in the finals, and it has been a long while since we have felt that.

I was at the game I don't remember any really bad calls. If you're talking about the 2 50s well thats just fevs fault for being a douche. But as everyone else has said 51 points cant be all the umpires fault.
