Northampton Saints loan Ben Prescott
Ben Prescott, Leinster’s prop is looking forward to play Premiership for the first time from Northampton Saints side. The 32-year old has been loaned by Northampton Saints to play at Franklin’s Gardens till the season ends.
Saints might be looking forward to extend the deal beyond May. Prescott has been playing at different clubs during his career including Rotherham, Glasgow, Nottingham and Dublin.
Prescott will be playing in England’s top flight for the first time. It is his opportunity to prove himself in front of the Saints fans. Jim Mallinder, Saints director of rugby is very much content with his decision and is impressed by Prescott’s performance
in Championship.
Mallinder said, “Having Ben in the squad will provide cover in a position where you can never have too many players.”
There are a lot of games coming up for Saints and Prescott will be pouring in his experience to add more strength to them.
“He has shown his quality consistently at Championship level, which we know is a competitive league where you need to have a lot of know-how to prosper,” added the director of rugby for Northampton Saints.
Prescott has played at Franklin’s Gardens for Nottingham last summer. That was the only game he played against Northampton Saints. Ben Prescott seems happy to be playing with this season’s top team.
While talking to the clubs official website he told, “The Saints are doing well at the moment and it's been great to come here, have a chance and hopefully get some game time.”
