  1. Beautiful scenery, whale watching, surfing, fishing (fresh and salt water) good pubs if you are old enough.  Rock climbing hiking, biking, beach combing.  All sorts of things are great weather right now.

  2. Tofino is not really in Northern Vancouver Island, but it is a fun place, a resort with some hiking, beach, and animal watching possibilities.

For places really in the north, try Telegraph Cove, a cute village built over the water, not too far from Pt.McNeil.  Take the ferry from Port McNeil to Alert Bay or to Soiuntula on Malcolm Island. There are a number of places to go hiking, fishing and kayaking. There is some gorgeous scenery on the west coast of the island, mostly inaccessible except by boat. Lots of places to watch birds, and a few places where it is fun to watch sea animals--whales, otter, and the like.

  3. go to hellobc  . They have free  guides to mail you

  4. If you're into outdoors stuff, try Campbell River for fishing.

  5. try whale watching in Tofino.
