Northfield breed greyhounds record fantastic wins at Casino RSM Club
Bralyn Riley, the fastest qualifier, emerged victorious in the rich final of the Rapidvite Maiden Series at Casino Friday night. It was the start that was all important and Bralyn Riley jumped out well with great strength and energy from box seven and got
straight onto the track and lead the way throughout the race. Beau We Know, the other semi final winner, made a strong start as well and showed a lot of sprinting power and enthusiasm in the middle stages. But there was no match between the two and Bralyn
Riley won by seven lengths in just 23.17 seconds.
Brad and Lynne Northfield, the owners and the trainers of the sprinter, enjoyed another success earlier in that day when Bralyn Riley little brother, Bralyn Terry, came out with a winning performance, breaking his maiden status by running through the 484
metres distance in 27.74 seconds. Both the brothers are by “boom” sire Black Enforcer from Bralyn Mel, a good stayer owned by Brad and Lynne Northfield.
On the Northern Rivers, Northfield and all of the Northfield family have been the successful breeders of greyhounds for many years and are contributing to the sport of greyhound racing by breeding quality dogs. And in the Casino RSM Club their contribution,
impact and mark on the industry was certainly shown where all the seven runners are direct descendants of their brood b*****s.
Proper Lucy, another Northfield family (Charlie Northfield) trained b***h, showed performed exceptionally and travelled through the track to bring a speedy 23 seconds win over Bacardi Breeze.
Jolly Jonna, trained by Shane Robinson, won in another race by running the day’s best time over 484 metres and finished in 27.26 seconds by a margin of ten and three quarter lengths which showed that the sprinter was never challenged by anyone during the
run.
In other races, Chris Schafer’s Propela recorded a good victory when he won the penultimate fifth grade event by six and three quarter lengths with a leg in the air and recorded his personal best of 23.21 seconds on Friday night.
Judy Rose Hi and Peg Rose Hi, owned by Trevor Thompson, continued their winning form. Judy won the distance race by a length and finished in 36.18 seconds while the Pat Lavis trained, Peg, took out Lucky Last by two and half lengths in 23.09 seconds.
Chris Supple’s Good Trot was also running well at the start but during the middle stages, it was Pretty Knocka who made a powerful run to snatch the winning prize in 23.47 seconds. The Tweed to Casino final was won by Keith Boan owned Yorklea Palm who got
through the distance in 23.44 seconds.
In other events, Terry Guymer owned Purple Sky won his opening maiden by completing the distance in 23.67 seconds, Quick And Slick won for Darren Crates in 28 seconds and Rod Herr made another highly-priced win with Fight Force flying to the finish in 27.80
seconds.
