  1. all of them except Norton,its c**p

  2. AVG, honestly for several reasons.  just trust me on this go with

    AVG...

  3. AVG

  4. I suggest to use avast4.8 home edition for free and use also windows defender together with it in your PC.

Let me give you a tip choosing a good antivirus for your PC because i know you really do care for your pc =)

Here's a link which serve me best choosing an antivirus http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2008...

I conducted a research for myself, hope it will help you...

  5. use avast is has better detection rates than norton.

norton sometimes fails to update and slows down your computer a lot.

    avg has poor detection rates.

avast has about 86% change of catching any type of virus.it does not slow down your computer as much as norton does.i have tried norton internet security 2006 and norton 360 but they slowed down my computer a lot so i decided to delete them and got kaspersky internet security 7.since i have been using kaspersky i have not had a single virus.with avast i got a virus that destroyed my whole computer.i had to use the recovery discs to recover my computer to a regular state.

i recommend kaspersky if you have 1gb of ram and want to take the time to configure it appropriately.

if you have less than 1gb of ram i would recommend eset smart security.but that is if you are looking to buy software.

if you are looking for free software try avira antivirus as it is best than most commercial product and detects about 97%of viruses and the best of all is that it is free of charge.

  6. i think you should choose avg free if you dont want to pay because it has better protection than the rest and its way faster than the other ones interface wise

  7. You should Choose AVG or Avast.  Norton sucks and I know from personal experience. Norton has ruined two of my past computers.  For example it ruined one of them when a virus got in and the virus was actually able to shut down Norton. What the ****? I currently have Avast on this computer and it works like a charm. :)

  8. Avast and AVG are good for a free program. For norton,I don't have much experiences with it,but I had heard it's a waste of money.

  9. are you buying the commercial versions of avg and avast?

if the avg and avast you are talkin about is free, then go for norton

there are many things stripped off in the free versions of avg and avast... norton, (which before became a target of much malwares) are now coping up with its losses
