Norton AntiVirus is not working?

every time i do a full system scan it would stop and it says that an internal error was found 0x800766be .i updated it. reinstalled it

I have a similar problem with it, like after it finishes it has an error, but the only way i could find to fix it is to recover or reboot the computer, but if u have a better way please tell me.

have you more than 1 norton anti virus program.

if you have you will have to take one off.

norton systems clash with each other.

have you just put another virus/security system on .if so take it off norton conflicts with some other systems also.

Norton is too demanding of system resources. I used Norton for 4 years buying a subscription every year, but then two years ago I switched to the free anti virus's like Avast, AVG, and Avira. They actually work better than Norton and didn't take so long to boot up and run.

Just uninstall Norton and replace with Avast, you won't be sorry.http://www.avast.com/
