On boot up all seems to load ok, On line protection shield is ok,(this always is the first thing to load). Protection shield stays ok when the other services that I have in taskbar load up right until the Norton Protection Icon appears, then the on protection shiel changes to the yellow triangle with the ! icon in it, the confusing thing is my Norton status bar tells me everything is ok(green circle, white tick). If I run a scan everything is ok too.Only way I can get the on line protection shield to show ok again is to exit from it then re open it.Hey Presto everything fine again. Is this just a conflict with these two services running together or do I have a more serious issue here?.Been like this for awhile now and it's really starting to bug me.

  1. i hate to tell you but norton is the worst and it can create conflicts just uninstall it from the start menu and norton and uninstall then you will not have this problem

  2. That does seem rather annoying. But yes, it's just a simple conflict. This can happen sometimes when running more than one security programs at once. My suggestion is to create a shortcut to BT on your quicklaunch bar or desktop. Then, disable it from running on start-up. This way, when you start your computer, Norton loads, and BT doesn't. Then, you just click the shortcut to BT and presto! Rather than having to wait for BT AND Norton to load up, hen close BT, then run BT again, you just have to start up, wait a few seconds, then run BT.
