I have norton symantec antivirus protection, when i scanned my computer, a window appeared saying "Norton AntiVirus has encountered an internal program error. (3038,107)". Does anybody knows how to fix this, i opened the website that says in that window to "how to fix it", but it doesn't work. Please let me know and please no confusing instructions, thank you so much.

  1. Completely uninstall NAV with the tool on their website.  Then go to uninstall programs in control panel and make sure Live Update is uninstalled.  If not, do so.  If you do not have it, download Ccleaner and run it to clean registry entries.  This will do the trick.

  2. Remove norton go with another antivirus protection. Honestly I hate norton, it just not good anymore well it never was good. try defender pro 5 in 1 its from kaspersky labs. You can get it at target. Hope this helps and remove norton.

  3. what OS are you using? otherwise go to norton and see if they have a fix for that error code.

  4. To the person above (Matt), that removal tool will not work with Symantec Antivirus.  Symantec Antivirus can only be removed from the control panel as it is not an actual Norton product.

For that error I found this page from Symantec:

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nor...

That might help.  Otherwise going to the Add/Remove Programs and uninstalling and reinstalling Symantec Antivirus might help.

  5. REINSTALL THE NORTON ANTVIRUS

  6. Reinstall it.

But uninstall with the removal tool found at

    http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsg...
