I received a Norwegian Cheese Lett Gulost from a friend of mine. Does anyone know how to best eat this cheese? With what type of bread? Crackers? Coffee?

Many thanks!

  1. Lett gulost (light yellow cheese) is a kind of cheese many Norwegians eat on bread for breakfast. Some choose buttered bread, others not. The typical bread in Norway is darker than the American, and they want it fresh - 1-2 days old at maximum. A kind a bread you don't find at ordinary shops - find a baker or make it yourself.

However, the taste is very different among Norwegians, too. One of my sons loves gulost on toast.
