Norwegian Cruise Tipping?

How does Norwegian cruise line do tips. $10 / person / day is that charged to your account. Do they tell you what portion goes to what staff? We are sailing on the spirit. If you have a differnet waitor/waitress every night do people tip them after each dinner?

Hi!

We just got back from our trip on the Spirit and we did not tip anyone.  In fact, I think it would have been discouraged to tip after each meal.  Your $10.00 per person/per day is divided up between the crew members.  And, at the end of your cruise you can leave a tip in an envelope for any crew member that you feel has gone "above and beyond" and earned a special tip.  You can leave the envelope in your cabin or leave it with the front desk.  Be sure to put the crew members name of the envelope.
