Question:

I often read Norwegian, and understand everything here except the way of expressing fuel consumption. Does 0.25 liter per mil mean litre per km? Surely it can't be, we are talking about a lightweight motorcycle here. (I can't be litre per mile either). Any help will be appreciated. My "native" way of thinking is either l/100km or km per litre. Help will be appreciated.

  1. Mile and mil is not the same. One (Norwegian) mil is 10 kilometers.

So read: 0.25 litre per 10 kilometers.
