  1. have been on this ship with my hubby -they have a soda card you can by which you can buy on board the boat but you can have stores you can go to while on land and buy the soda or juices and take them back to your room, they need to go though security first . the meal you talked about are part of the cruise but if you ne ed answers call ncl and they will be happy to answer all your questions ahead of time

  2. 1. all your meals are paid for before hand, so you just go and eat and dont worry about money. water is free, unless its bottled, soda you must pay for

    2. only dinner, but if you eat at the cafe you dont have to dress up

    3. you have to pay for specialty drinks, and when you eat in a specialty restaurant

    4. not so much, dont believe rumors

    5. i think its 4 per person and the limit is 50 per item

There was 1 main pool, 4 hot tubs, a kiddie pool, and a swim against the current lap pool

  3. 1. It depends. You can get water from the buffet place and that would be free. To get bottled water you would have to get it from one of the many bars. Soda you have to get it from a bar so it is not free. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are free if you go to Raffles Court, Blue Lagoon (only serves lunch and dinner), Windows, and The Garden Room.

    2. NO! I think that is the best part about cruising with ncl, you don't have to dress up at all if you don't want to unlike most other cruise lines. At Blue Lagoon and Raffles dress however. At the rest dress a little nicer or get dressed up if you feel like it.

    3. Any alcoholic beverages, shore excursions, gift shop items, restuaunt cover charges.

    4. We just came back from the Spirit ship two weeks ago. It was five or ten dollars for me and my sister (kids twelve and under), and fifteen dollars for people 13 and up.

    5. You can have as much luggage as you need to have. But beware that there is not much space in the closet for more than two or three suitcases unless you want to totally unpack and stack suitcases in the closet. You can also put them under the bed. We had five suitcases and three smaller bags in our stateroom and it worked out fine. Just make sure that you have enough luggage tags that they will send to you. If you don't get enough I think you can print out more online. Just make sure you put the tags they give you, or else your luggage will not get to your room.

    6. Their are four hot tubs on deck 12 at the Tivoli Pool. Their is also another on deck ten near the kiddie pool, that one is used mostly by little kids and parents.

  4. I think you should have fun.......but in future avoid NCL. Other lines are much better.

  5. 1) Water is always free whereever you go on the ship. Soda you do have to pay for, and if you plan on drinking a lot, the soda card is a good idea. You don't have to pay for breakfast, lunch or dinner if you go to either the buffet or the 2 main dining rooms (Windows & Garden), but if you go to any of the other restaurants there is a fee of about $20 per person.

    2) You don't have to dress up for breakfast or lunch whether in the dining room or the buffet.  If you go to a specialty dining room for dinner(the one's you have to pay for), then you have to dress formally. Dress for women, suits for men at the minimum). If you go to the main dining rooms(the one's you don't have to pay for), then you do not have to dress up. You just cannot wear tshirt or shorts, they just want you to look decent. There are going to be 2 suggested formal nights on your cruise but you do not have to dress up. If you'd rather wear tshirts & shorts for dinner, then you can go to the grill or the buffet for dinner.

    3) The other things that you will have to pay for is soda, any type of alcohol, excursions(could be payed for before your cruise),anything you buy on the ship, and tipping at the end of your cruise. You can get milk and most juices for free.

    4) If you have to pay a what's known as a "fuel surcharge", then you would have paid it already. Everything other than mentioned in number three will be payed for before your cruise.

    5) Each person can bring aboard 4 suitcases, not weighing more than 50 pounds each, not exceeding the custom's allowance on the way home.

If you have any more questions, feel free to send me a message!

hope this helps & have fun!!!! (:

  6. I would never go with NCL - bad waiters!!!

  7. I'm going on the Norwegian Spirit this Sunday too!

The only free drinks are the juices, the only food you pay for is for the specialty restauants.

You don't have to dress up because of freestyle cruising.  You get to eat when you want and wear what you want.

You have to pay ten dollars per day per person which is for all the service, the food and then people wh clean your room.  Basically the crew.

There are pools and 4 hot tubs.

    Have fun!
