Norweigan Pirates in the Golden Age of p****y

I am related to a famous Norweigan pirate that smuggled kilner jars to starving american colonists during the golden age of p****y.

I can't find any lists of famous pirates from norway, all I remember from a geneology test taken in my childhood was his name was some derivative of the english name John, and he smuggled kilner jars (which were secret technology at the time? Or to avoid taxes.) to the first founders so they could store enough food for winter.

Being that John Kilner was not born until 1792, and founded the John Kilner & Co glass company in 1842 that produced this jar, your stretching on that part of the story.
