The former Newcastle United boss has praised the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 attacker ahead of his side’s clash against the Reds, while admitting that the former Ajax winger is one of the threats his troops will be facing.
Norwich City will lock horns against Liverpool on English Premier League matchday 23 at Anfield on Saturday, January 19.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Hughton, has heaped praise on the Reds star attacker, Luis Suarez, ahead of his side’s upcoming Premier League tie, and has insisted that the 25-year-old has been a top performer for the fallen English giants since the start
of the ongoing 2012/13 season.
“Suarez has proved this season what a good player he is. Whatever problems he has had he has managed to put them behind him and be right up there in the goal-scoring charts. He is somebody who plays consistently. He is a very tough individual. All I see
is an excellent player. I have been very impressed with his level of performance this season”, Hughton was quoted as saying to reporters in the pre-match press conference.
The Uruguayan ace, who arrived at Anfield halfway through the 2010/11 campaign after netting an impressive 81 goals in 110 Eredivisie games for Ajax Amsterdam, has thus far netted 15 goals in 21 Premier League appearances, including a hat-trick against the
Canaries at Carrow Road on September 29.
And the 54-year-old tactician has admitted that the former Amsterdammers star will be one of the threats his side will face at Anfield on Saturday.
“He scored three excellent goals which would have graced any game. But he is only one of a very good side and they are in a good rhythm at the moment”, Hughton concluded.
Norwich City are currently sitting 12th in the Premier League standings, seven points clear of the danger zone. However, the English trainer, who took the reins of the Canaries before the start of the ongoing season, has set his sights on finishing
in the top eight sides in the league.
With 16 games left to play in the season, they have a good chance of achieving their objective if they manage to claim consistent results.
