Question:

Nose Job(Rhinoplasty)?

I am 50 year old ethnic male with a big, fleshy nose which seems to get bigger and fleshier as I age. I am considering a Nose Job. From my research on the Internet, it appears to me that 3-4 weeks should be set aside if one wishes to minimize general recognition of a Nose job. Cost Rica seems attractive to me as I can always say that I was on vacation in Costa Rica. .Would like to hear from anyone with experience of a nose job or general plastic surgery in Costa Rica and how it compares to doing in USA. I am more interested in medical part of it - surgeon experience and skills, recovery complications, success rate etc. If the experience was favorable would appreciate the name of the surgeon and medical facility.

Thank you.

  1.  You know there are several types of rhinoplasty,

Open Rhinoplasty – this if for major nose reshaping, an additional incision is made across the skin that separates the nostrils. After that the soft tissue and skin are separated from the cartilage and bone beneath, which are then reshaped.

Closed Rhinoplasty- for minor reshaping, as usual, surgeons make incision with the nose, then separated from the bone and cartilage, once exposed, bone and cartilage can be removed, reshaped, augmented to achieve the client desire.

Secondary Rhinoplasty- also called revision rhinoplasty, as the word revision, this is performed to correct problems or improved the nose condition.

Filler Rhinoplasty- this involves the use of injectable fillers to fill depressions, restoring symmetry etc. to make your nose  more attractive.

Rhinoplasty or often know as "nose job'  is a surgical procedure performed to correct deformities or enhanced one nose, the surgeon will perform subtle changes to nose size and shape thus resulting in a more desirable (hopefully!) nose appearance.
