  1. Depends since what may be painful to some, may not be as painful to you. Honestly, they are not painful at all, the  nose piercing feels like a hard pinch during the actual piercing of it & so does the cartilage piercing. As for which one(s) looks better, that is your decision to make, choose what you think will look best & will suit you better. If a piercing is not well taken cared of it can get infected, just make sure to cleanse the area with warm sea salt soaks, for the nose piercing you can cleanse the area w/ a cotton ball or qtip dipped in warm sea salt water. Do not use any harsh chemicals such as alcohol, peroxide, neosporin or bactine, these products can clog & dry out a piercing. As for the cons, for the nose piercing is that if messed with (meaning touching  or bumping against it with something) a small bump can occur but can be removed by soaking the area 2-3 daily w/ warm sea salt  & tea tree oil, another con for the nose is that if a nose bone is placed in as the choice of jewelry it can easily pop out, so make sure to pick either L's studs or nose screws, lastly make sure to get your piercings done by a reputable piercing shop that uses only sterlized equippment and hollow needles, No Piercing Guns, piercing guns can shatter your cartilage, causing prolong healing, infection and bumps/keloids.  Good Luck.

  2. hey, i would go for both.

    but that's totally your decision.

    for pain on a scale of 1-10..

    nose = 2

    cartialage = 3

    Infections don't really come that much, unless you take really good care of your new piercing within the healing time. As long as you clean your piercing well, and take care of it, you shouldn't have infections.

    Cons to the piercings, is that you can't go into pools, lakes, oceans, etc until it is healed. That is how you can get infections from the bacteria. Plus, both piercings take awhile to heal too. About 3-4 months for both. But everyone heals at different rates. Sometimes it can take up to a year for a piercing to be properly healed.

    So, either piercing would be great.

    For cartilage : I wouldn't put anything too big there.

    For nose: I think the stud looks much better than the ring, but that's your personal prefferance. Also, I would get the L shaped stud or the s***w, because it doesn't come out as much as the one with the ball on the end.

    Good luck hun. :)

  3. catilage pierceings are nothing! just the same as a regular ear piercing only there it more soreness. And my catilage piercing always catches on my hair, and it can be annoying. I just got mine done like 2 months ago. do not be worried about the pain. its nothing! really. its over in a second. Just keep it clean.

  4. neither one really hurts bad. i would say get your ear pierced. con of nose piercing is its on your face...
