Nose blocked...Cold and phlegm.......Help !!!!?

Hey guys.....

Ive got a Cold and theres a lot of yellow phlegm... Now my nose is blocked......

When I look into my nose, one side is quite clear, and the other side is blocked by skin or tissue or whatever in my nose, it looks like its swollen..... IS THIS NORMAL ???????

Got a bit scared........ Pls help... I thought it was the phelgm that was supposed to be blocking it?? What is the reason?? Also how can I unblock it...Other than Vicks....

sinusitis.. inflammation of ur sinuses because of excess mucus..=) well.. try antitussives or expectorants..=)

I wouldn't be concerned yet. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from dairy. You can take some nasal decongestants to help.

Yes it's normal.  You are inflammed in your sinus area.  It will improve once you're for the most part better.  Yellow phlegm is a given it's the immune system working hard to make you better.  Keep your body full of vitamin c and lots of liquids and proper bed rest.

I would not take vicks. It is garbage. I would try taking claritin-D 24 hour. One in the morning (the D stands for pseudoephedrine) and will keep you awake so taking it in the morning it strongly advised.

Sit in your bathroom with the shower on as hot as it can go, put a towel over the crack at the bottom of the door and sit in there for 10 minutes. This should clear things up. If things dont get better in about 5 days, see you doctor, a prescription will resolve this issue.

i have the same thing and its funny i stumbled upon ur question hah

no, don't worry it's just a cold/stuffy nose

but what you should do is get a bottle of nosedrops and spray it in the nostril that is blocked while inhaling

when you spray the chemicals and inhale them deeper- it clears it up

but it doesnt affect your brain cells just in case you were wondering haha

and you can find it at CVS, Rite Aid, Shop-Rite, etc.
